Can you feel it? The bitter-sweet sense of the end of the year is approaching, knowing that each passing day is lost mixed with the expectation towards the holidays and the promise of a new year. If not yet, the sales season will get you in the mood shortly! Q4 has a variety of special days – Black Friday, Singles’ Day, Cyber Monday, etc. Big or small, every business comes up with special offers making the last effort towards a better profit line.

If you are selling multiple products of various categories to a large variety of customers, setting the pricing for the holiday season is a significant task. To help you be more efficient during the busiest time of the year, SAP Business One enables you to set special prices using multiple and flexible criteria. You can assign a discount percentage to a range of selected items to be applied to a specific business partner during the defined date range:

But this is not it. If you want to offer more dynamic pricing and keep your customers alert, double-click the relevant item to set additional discount rates within a defined date range and volume. For example, let’s say that there is too much stock of J.B. Officeprint 1186 printers in your warehouse, and you want to make some more attractive offers. In the “Period Discounts” window you can define multiple date ranges within the original date range in which the discount rate is higher. By double clicking on the selected line, enables you to set a volume discount to be applied within the given date range:

When creating a sales document anytime between 24 October to 30 December for customer Maxi-Teq, J.B. Officeprint 1186 will be offered at a 10% discount, except for the weekend of 4 to 7 November, when this customer will enjoy a 20% discount when buying 1 printer and 30% discount when purchasing 2 or more.

After setting up the best offers you can, you may use the “Copy Special Prices” functionality to apply your settings to a defined range of business partners and items.

Available in Web Client for SAP Business One 10.0, and SAP Business One 10.0 version for SAP HANA. Please get in touch if you would like to upgrade to version 10.0.
