When working with software, system messages are part of the user experience. It is the way the software communicates with you – there are messages that want to inform you, some messages require that you make a decision, and others tell you that something is wrong.

In most cases the required actions are clear. But what happens if the message is not absolutely clear? Or you are not 100% sure about the next step? For such cases, SAP Business One enables you to search for the specific message online:

Search online for system messages

In the “General Settings” window, you should firstly define the default search engine that you use company-wide. In the “System Message Log” window, place the mouse on the relevant message and from the context menu choose the option “Search Online”. The search results for the given message in the defined search engine are populated automatically.

Now you can check for more information related to the message and make an informed decide for your next steps.

Available in SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.3.
