How many times have you heard about the importance of building a strong foundation? Like most clichés, it fits many aspects of life, literally and figuratively, and it is the truth. Now, think about your business, especially if you manage inventory. For a second put aside the storage, counting, transactions, etc. and focus on the heart of the matter – the items.
In SAP Business One, the Item Master Data is the foundation of inventory management. The following enhancements are introduced to support more accurate and efficient inventory management:
In the Item Master Data view:
Sales Item – Changing the status of the Sales Item checkbox is enabled for items that are not components of sales BOM (Bill of Materials) or assembly BOM, but which are components of a production BOM or a template BOM.
Purchase Item – You can update the status of the checkbox Purchase Item for an item that is a child of a BOM, a parent item in a production BOM, or a template BOM.
Preferred Vendor – The name of the preferred vendor now is displayed alongside its code for broader context.
Last Prices – The “Last Prices” report can now be accessed from the context menu.
Available in SAP Business One 10.0, and SAP Business One 10.0 version for SAP HANA. Please get in touch if you would like to upgrade to version 10.0.
